Let’s start with the third round of the 2016 recap. After I already shared the best photo shootings we did in the past year and also my personal favorite outfits, we continue with the most amazing travels I was able to enjoy. Beside three destinations at the beach, two cities (London and Madrid) made it to the list as they managed to blow my mind away with their very own charm.
Turkey
We headed to the south eastern part of Turkey only in October. Regarding the fact that temperatures dropped in Switzerland right at that time, it turned out to be the perfect escape to the sun and warmth. Turkey counts to my favorites for the reason of the beautiful landscapes and the crystal blue sea. Well, probably also because of the amazing resort we stayed at.

Bali
For those of you who already followed my 9 days trip to Bali earlier this year it’s probably no surprise to see it in this list. The people seem to smile all the time and are so helpful and friendly. I was also fascinated by the untouched nature but also by the sea which was as blue as I have never seen it before at any other place. I guess the two luxury hotels in which I and a couple of other bloggers stayed also did their bits that I will never forget my time in Bali.

Mykonos
Greek islands – especially Santorini and Mykonos – seemed to be THE trending travel destination of the past summer. No surprise honestly! Because all those white houses, colorful doors and cute alleys score with their very unique charm.

London
Guess what! I have never been in London until London Fashion Week last September. I’m happy I finally changed this (sad) fact because London is honestly the first city in which I immediately felt at home away from home and that’s why I can actually imagine to move there to live and work for a couple of years. What you can’t miss: Notting Hill and the Farm Girl cafe.

Madrid
We came to Madrid for a press trip and didn’t stay long but made the most out of the time we had so that we fell deeply in love with the Spanish city. I’m pretty sure, a reason that the city makes it to this list is the hotel in which be stayed (Dear Hotel) and which served a breathtaking view over the city – not only from our room but also from the rooftop pool! Yes man, there’s a rooftop pool with a view!

Holland
A trip to Holland is especially worth it of you go in spring when the flower fields are in full bloom. The best way to get around is to rent a car which also allows you to head to the beach and/or to Amsterdam for a little shopping at “nine streets”. Auf zum dritten Teil des Rückblicks zum Jahresende. Nach den besten Fotostrecken des Jahres und meinen persönlichen Lieblingsoutfits, folgen heute die sechs grossartigsten Reisen, die ich während des vergangenen Jahres erleben durfte. Neben den drei Destinationen am Meer haben es mit London und Madrid auch zwei Städte in die Liste geschafft, die mich während dem Besuch – wenn dieser auch in beiden Fällen zu kurz ausfiel – mir ihrem Charme verzauberten.
Türkei
In den Südosten der Türkei ging es erst im Oktober, allerdings erwies sich dies im Anbetracht des Fakts, das die Temperaturen in der Schweiz wie verrückt fielen, als der perfekte Zeitpunkt. Zu meinen Favoriten des Jahres zählt die Türkei vor allem wegen der schönen Landschaften, dem kristallklaren Meer und sicherlich auch dem Resort, in dem wir logieren durften.

Bali
Das Bali in den Top 6 meiner Reisen in 2016 landen würde, war vermutlich jedem klar, der die Reise schon im Frühjahr mitverfolgt hat. Die Menschen sind mit ihrem ständigen Lächeln auf den Lippen wahnsinnig sympathisch und stets hilfsbereit und freundlich. Faszinierend ist nicht nur die unberührte Natur sondern auch das Meer, das so blau war, wie ich es noch nie gesehen habe. Bestimmt haben auch die zwei Luxushotels, in denen ich und weiter Bloggerinnen hausten ihren Teil dazu beigetragen, dass ich die Reise nie mehr vergessen werde.

Mykonos
Griechische Inseln – allen voran Santorini und Mykonos – scheinen diesen Sommer die Trend-Reisedestinationen schlechthin gewesen zu sein. Das wundert mich nach meiner Reise nach Mykonos allerdings überhaupt nicht, denn die weissen Häuser, farbigen Treppen und Türen als auch die schön bepflasterten Gässchen haben ihren ganz eigenen Charm. Ein besonderer Pluspunkt ist, dass man gar keine grosse Recherche im Vorhinein betreiben muss – es lohnt sich stattdessen, einfach durch die Stadt zu spazieren und die Dinner Location spontan zu wählen, da die Auswahl so toll ist. Bloss ein Tipp: Kayak Ice Cream!

London
Kaum zu glauben, aber war – bis zur London Fashion Week im Sommer war ich noch nie in der britischen Hauptstadt. Gut, dass sich das geändert hat, denn die Stadt hatte mich sofort – so sehr, dass ich mich zum ersten Mal an einem fremden Ort zuhause gefühlt habe und mir deshalb gut vorstellen kann, für einige Jahre nach London zu ziehen, um hier meine Brötchen zu verdienen. Auf gar keinen Fall zu verpassen: Notting Hill und das Farm Girl Cafe.

Madrid
Für eine Pressereise ging es Ende Oktober nach Madrid. Obwohl es bloss wenige Tage waren, haben wir viel gesehen und uns direkt in die Stadt verliebt. Einen grossen Beitrag dazu, dass die Stadt in dieser Liste landet, dürfe auch das Hotel (Dear Hotel) sein, das wir für den Aufenthalt wählten. Von da aus hatten wir eine atemberaubende Sicht über die Stadt – nicht bloss vom Zimmer, sondern auch vom Rooftop Pool.

Eine Reise in die Niederlande lohnt sich besondern im Frühjahr, wenn die Blumenfelder in voller Pracht erblühen. Dabei lohnt sich ein Mietwagen, um einen Abstecher an den Strand zu wagen und um nach Amsterdam zu fahren, um im hippen «Nine-Streets»-Viertel zu shoppen.
