Morning girls! When I returned back to Switzerland a couple of days, I was really looking forward to finally relax a little bit. And no, this is for sure not a joke because being on work trips abroad is definitely more energy-sapping than my usual, structured workdays at home. Believe me, I always wonder how Leonie, Caro & Co.
survive their endless travels while still looking fabulous af. After two weeks away, I felt like I look like the walking dead. But well, I’m back and my schedule is already filled with daily appointments again. So here I am, returning from two events, sitting down in front of my laptop at midnight. #Lifegoals, right?Honestly I don’t even mind and if I would, I guess I would change it quite quickly. Some of you probably already know my life motto which says “life is what you make it”! And in the end both – being in Switzerland and being at foreign places – serves its benefits. If then a place presents itself as picture-perfect as Sicily, I’m even happier. So, when I need to sit in front of the screen at midnight to write these lines, I might not be as motivated as if I would have been if I prepared it yesterday, but I’m yet sitting here smiling and happy because I can’t wait you guys to see these pictures which Stefan shot up in the hills when we were in Sicily a few weeks ago.
Do you want to know what is the most beautiful thing about blogging in my eyes? It’s being creative without any limits – it’s being able to experiment without someone telling you it’s not good – it’s being able to learn out of the mistakes you did because no one told you not to do it.
And it’s the result you will see in the end of all your work process. It fills me with joy and I guess that has also been the reason that I choose to work in graphic design before I knew about blogging: To see what I actually worked on. :)Meine Lieben, ich hoffte ja eigentlich sehr, nach meiner Rückkehr in die Schweiz, würde ich ein bissi relaxen können. Und nein, das ist wirklich kein Scherz, für mich sind Reisen ins Ausland ja meistens kräftezehrender als die «Alltagsarbeit» Zuhause und ich bewundere Leonie, Caro & Co., die das ständig machen, dafür. Aber denkste, kaum bin ich wieder da, ist mein Terminkalender auch schon voll und so komme ich gerade von zwei Events nach Hause und setzte mich um 24 Uhr noch vor den Laptop. #Lifegoals, oder?
Eigentlich stört mich das aber auch wenig und wenn, dann würde ich ziemlich rasch etwas daran ändern. Ihr kennt ja mein Motto, dass jeder seines eigenen Glückes Schmied ist! ;) Und schlussendlich bin ich genau so happy Zuhause und an fremden Orten, insbesondere dann, wenn sich einem so schöne Kulissen bieten, wie in Sizilien. Und wenn ich dann auch um 24 Uhr noch vor den Laptop sitzen muss, um diese Zeilen zu schreiben, dann bin ich sicherlich weniger motiviert, als wenn ich das bereits am Vortag gemacht hätte, aber dennoch voller Vorfreude, diese tollen Bilder, die Stefan geschossen hat, mit euch zu teilen.
Wisst ihr, was meiner Meinung nach das Schönste am Bloggen ist? Das man sich grenzenlos kreativ austoben kann – das man ausprobieren kann, ohne das jemand sagt, dass es schlecht ist – das man dabei lernen kann. Und das man am Ende ein Resultat vor sich sieht, von dem man stolz behaupte kann, es selber geschaffen zu haben. Vermutlich was das auch ein Grund, warum ich, bevor ich vom Thema Bloggen wusste, entschied, in der grafischen Branche zu arbeiten: Zu sehen, woran ich eigentlich so lange gearbeitet habe. :)
