I already talked about it on Monday that it almost borders on self-torture to be back in cold Switzerland and be in charge to get pictures from wonderfully warm Turkey ready. Today I AM ready with the first pictures, the first outfit, from the south and I start with one of my personal favorite photo stories we took under the blazing Mediterranean sun – which turned out to be a very very bad idea in the evening.
Well, it seems like I like to suffer to get great pictures. Looking back upon this photo story which we realized almost exactly one year ago and for which I laid into a 5 degree glacial river and now I spent an entire day under the relentless sun so that my night turned into day and I don’t mean it in a positive way. But luckily this is past and what remains instead is this special series of pictures – and a couple more which will follow soon.
Typically me I also insisted on packing my suitcase according to the journey’s destination and took inspiration from the Oriental culture, therefor you can imagine the flowing maxi skirt and the top with its fabulous sleeves were the very first pieces getting packed. While both pieces’ shapes come in an wonderful Oriental character, the colors respectively prints stay clean in an European way what makes the outfit the absolutely right choice for my Turkey trip as the country is kind of a connection between Europe and the Orient itself.

Ich hab am Montag noch davor gesprochen, dass es beinahe schon an Selbstquälerei grenzt, in der kalten Schweiz Bilder aus der warmen Türkei bearbeiten zu müssen. Heute bin ich endlich ready mit den ersten Bildern, dem ersten Outfit, aus dem Süden und starte direkt mit einer Lieblingsfotostrecke, die wir in der prallen Mittelmeersonne geschossen haben – was sich abends dann ziemlich, ziemlich übel ausgewirkt hat.
Tja, anscheinend leide ich für gute Fotos einfach gerne. Vor ziemlich genau einem Jahr legte ich mich im Spitzenkleid für diese Fotostrecke noch in einen 5 Grad kalten Gletscherfluss und in der Türkei setzte ich mich nun stattdessen den ganzen Tag der erbarmungslosen Sonne aus, sodass meine Nacht zum Tag wird und das nicht im positiven Sinne. Aber das ist ja jetzt vorbei und was bleibt ist eben diese besondere Fotostrecke – und einige weitere, die schon ganz bald folgen.
Wie ich halt so bin, liess ich es mir auch diesmal nicht nehmen, meinen Koffer entsprechend des Reiseziels zu packen und liess mich direkt von de orientalischen Kultur inspirieren und so landete der wallende Maxirock sowie das Top mit den perfekten Ärmeln als allererste Stücke darin. Denn während die Schnitte beider Teile wunderbar fernöstlich angehaucht sind, bleiben die Farben europäisch reduziert und somit entsteht ein Outfit das nicht besser für den Aufenthalt in der Türkei, dem Bindeglied zwischen Europa und dem Orient, hätte passen können.
