Fashion and style are often associated with Chanel, Gucci, Prada & Co. But fashion let alone style doesn’t have anything to do with the price tag on the clothes you’re wearing on your body. On the contrary, fashion should rather incite and inspire you to try out new fabrics, new colors, new shapes and well, new brands too and to mix it all together so that what will result in the end is your individual, your very own style.
And note, it really doesn’t matter at all if this one piece costs 50 or 500 Euros if it looks good on you and fits your way of dressing.With that being said, it probably gets quite clear why I revealed myself as a true Zalando victim a couple of times already – Anyone want to challenge me with “Who has more Zalando parcels at home”? You’ll sooo lose! – Ok, back to the actual topic. It’s not (only) because of the free delivery and returns and not (only) because of the cool option to receive the parcel within 24 hours but rather it’s mainly because chic 280-Euro-Silk-Blazers meet cool 35-Euro-Mom-Jeans and Streetlabels à la Topshop meet High End Brands such as Pinko. I strongly believe that the most interesting REMIX always emerges from a mixture of high and low brands as well as from a mixture of styles. I guess you already know that I love when chicness gets those Hipster vibes and when Sporty Spice goes Romance.
When it comes to more expensive pieces like the blazer from Baum und Pferdgarten or the trending Love Simply bag from Pinko I always think about how I will be able to combine these pieces with some low budget pieces out of my wardrobe before I invest in it, because I want to make sure I have lots of options to style it and thereby keep my happiness about a certain high end piece up by wearing it over and over again instead of putting it in the closet and forget about it for the next five years.
Mode und Stil werden oft schnell mit Chanel, Gucci, Prada & Co. assoziiert. Dabei hat Mode, geschweige denn Stil, herzlich wenig damit zu tun, wie teuer die Klamotten sind, die man frau an ihrem Körper hängen hat. Im Gegenteil, die Mode soll doch dazu animieren und inspirieren, verschiedene Stoffe, Farben, Schnitte und eben Marken auszuprobieren und miteinander zu kombinieren, sodass schlussendlich der ganz eigene, persönliche Stil daraus resultiert. Dabei ist es doch auch wirklich egal, ob ein Teil 50 oder 500 Euro kostet, wenn es an dir einfach toll aussieht.
Damit dürfte auch endgültig klar sein, warum ich mich schon öfter als ziemliches Zalando-Opfer outete – Will mich jemand mit der Anzahl Zalandoschachteln, die sich Zuhause stapeln, herausfordern? You’ll sooo lose! – Zurück zum Thema. Nicht (nur) wegen der kostenlosen Lieferung, nicht (nur) nur wegen der tollen Option, innert 24 Stunden das Paket bereits in den Hände zu halten sondern vor allem (auch) deshalb, weil hier der chice 280-Euro-Seidenblazer von auf die coole 35-Euro-Mom-Jeans und Streetwear à la Topshop auf High-End-Brands wie Pinko trifft. Der spannendste REMIX entsteht schliesslich immer erst aus einer Mischung. Nicht nur aus einer Mischung von High und Low Brands, sondern auch auch aus einer Mischung von unterschiedlichen Stilen wie Chicness mit einem deftigen Schuss Hipster oder Sporty Spice meets Romance.
Gerade bei teureren Stücken wie dem Blazer von Baum und Pferdgarten oder der angesagten Love-Simply-Tasche von Pinko ist es mir stets wichtig, zu wissen, dass ich die Stücke auf viele Arten mit günstigen Teile aus meinem Kleiderschrank remixen kann, damit meine Freude daran lange anhält und das investierte Geld nicht bloss an der Kleiderstange in meinem Schrank versauert. Das wäre bei den schönen Stücken auch wirklich zu schade, oder?
