And finaaaally we’re starting with all the outfits we shot in the south, strictly speaking in Cinque Terre! Yay! The trip has been a very, very special one for me – not only for the reason that I celebrated my 26th birthday in one of my absolute favorite countries but also because it was the first trip since a very long time that we planned all by ourselves without a brand or agency or any project connected.
So we had no schedule but instead were able to do whatever we wanted. Well, while working on our plan, looking for hotels, how to get there, etc, I actually realized how much I enjoy when brands and agencies are taking over that part though. ;) It’s a crazy amount of work if you’re like me aka. a planning freak who is paranoid that the hotel booking didn’t went through, or the train is late and you’ll miss the connecting one, etc.But here comes another big reason why the trip more or less spontaneously became such a special one: In the end it turned out to be a semi-cooperation though. Because when your all time favorite online shop aka. NET-A-PORTER knocks your door, you gotta say “yes”! I’m not even gonna ask if you agree because I know you do! ;) Now guess which brand I checked first with Italy in mind…
Correct, for sure it was the pieces from Dolce & Gabbana because whenever I plan a trip to beautiful Italy, all that comes to my mind are all their fabulous advertisements which I admire so much because they just spread the Italian dolce vita in the very best way, just like my final choice, these hot red pumps, do.
But admittedly, I often struggle with bling bling and lace because I feel like I always end up to lady-like and feel uncomfortable in the end.
That’s why I decided to go for a cool, combination of white culottes and striped top with a sneaky cut to create a nice contrast and dress down the pumps to make them look more casual.Und eeeeendlich starten die Outfits aus dem Süden. Genauer gesagt, aus Cinque Terre. Die Reise dahin war für mich eine ganz besondere – nicht nur aus dem Grund, dass ich damit meinen 26. Geburtstag in einem meiner Lieblingsländer feiern durfte, sondern auch deshalb, weil wir seit Ewigkeiten einmal wieder aus eigenem Interesse eine Reise planten, die nicht an ein Projekt geknüpft war und daher keinen festen Terminplan zu befolgen hatten, sondern alles selber planten. Gut, während dem ich an der Planung war, bemerkte ich, wie angenehm es eigentlich ist, wenn der part von einer Marke oder Agentur übernommen wird. ;) Es steckt wahnsinnig viel Arbeit dahinter, wenn man die Art Mensch ist, die ich bin aka. ein Planungs-Freal, der ständig Angst hat, dass die Hotelbuchung nicht durchging, der Zug zu spät ist und wir den Anschluss verpassen, etc. ;)
Und nun ein weiterer ganz besonderen Punkt, warum die Reise spontan zu einer so speziellen wurde: Schlussendlich wurde aus dem Italientrip dann nämlich doch eine halbe Kooperation, denn wenn dein absoluter Lieblingsonlinshop aka. NET-A-PORTER anklopft, dann sagt wohl kaum jemand «nein»! Oder Ladies? Als erstes klickte ich mich natürlich durch das Angebot von Dolce & Gabbana, denn wenn immer ich eine Reise nach Italien plane und Inspirationen sammle, dann sind die Werbungen des Labels stets die ersten, die ich mir ansehe. Dolce & Gabbana verkörpert schlicht das italienische Dolce Vita und das tun auch die feuerroten Pumps, für die ich mich schlussendlich entschied.
Zugegeben, manchmal bin ich direkt ein bisschen überfordert mit Spitze UND Bling Bling, denn allzu damenhaft möchte ich dann doch nicht wirken. Deshalb entschied ich mich für eine coole, schlichte Kombination mit weissen Culottes und einem raffiniert geschnittenen, gestreiften Hemd, die die auffälligen Pumps etwas «downdressen» und alltagstauglicher machen.
