Meanwhile a few weeks passed by since my short trip to Madrid and I finally have another look from this beautiful city ready to share with you, which of course also works here in cold Central Europe with a little adaptation in the feet part (boots) and an addition on the upper body (jacket/coat). A few minutes ago when I put together the outfit details to replicate the look – find it as always at the bottom of this text – I also had to grin a bit because I realized something kind of funny.
Even though today’s outfit appears completely different than the one I share two days ago, if you look closely at the individual pieces of clothing you will see its actually pretty much the same outfit: it’s just the plaid red shirt which made way for the maxi dress and the hat and jacket which disappeared the rest stayed the same. Isn’t it astonishing that with just a few changes you can change the perception of something totally? Well, maybe “totally” is the wrong word because both styling are very typical Michèle in their own way and therefor have something in common, but though!
Also, I think this outfit once again proves that a dress is not just a boring piece of clothing where you’re only able to play with the accessories – but it is also a piece of clothing which invites to play with unusual layerings and reinterpret them completely. Be it with a skirt above as today or with jeans underneath as I have been working it very often last year.
Mittlerweile ist wieder einiges an Zeit vergangen seit meinem Kurztrip nach Madrid und endlich habe ich einen weiteren Look aus dem Süden bereit, der mit einer Anpassung im Fussbereich (Stiefel) und einer Ergänzung im Bereich des Oberkörpers (Jacke/Mantel) auch hier im kalten Mitteleuropa noch funktionieren würde.
Als ich eben die Outfitdetails zum Nachshoppen – wie immer ganz unten – zusammengetragen habe, fiel mir übrigens noch etwas witziges auf.Obwohl das heutige Outfit komplett anders wirkt, als dasjenige aus dem vergangen Post, ist es, wenn man die einzelnen Kleidungsstücke betrachtet, fast ein und dasselbe: Das rote Karohemd musste bloss einem Maxikleid weichen und Jacke und Hut verschwanden ganz. Es ist schon erstaunlich, wie man mit so wenigen Änderungen eine Wirkung komplett verändern kann. Nun gut, so komplett ist es vielleicht auch wieder nicht, schlussendlich sind schliesslich beide Stylings einfach typisch Michèle und haben damit doch wieder vieles gemeinsam.
Ich denke, der heutige Look zeigt auch wieder einmal gut, dass ein Kleid eben nicht einfach bloss ein Kleid sein muss, bei dem man bloss die Accessoires wechseln kann – sondern es eben durch ungewohnte Layerings auch völlig neu interpretieren kann. Sei es nun mit einem Rock darüber, wie heute, oder mit Jeans darunter, wie ich es besonders im vergangen Jahr ganz oft gezeigt habe.
